PPP #14: Counting Down

Our days are numbered. And I mean this in a very good way. :)

Despite all that I still need to do before our own “D-Day” (and despite my back which recently “decided” to take a break from it all by going “haywire” on me a few days ago), I can still say that I am certainly so looking forward to our new life Down Under and to being reunited with dear hubby whom we all sorely miss.

I know I still have lots of loose ends to tie and kinks to iron before I finally become “footloose and fancy-free” but I’d like to think that whatever stresses there may be at the moment and in the next few days, we will definitely overcome.

In the meantime, I’m letting my “bad back” take the lead for now by chillaxing by the poolside of the country club (*thanks M&M! you guys are the best!*) while looking after my niece and daughter “pretend play” in the kiddie pool (they’re both doing “supermodel walks” right now – hahaha!).

True. Life may deal us harsh blows sometimes with woes seeming to stretch for miles on end but, at the end of all the stormy and drizzly days, the sun will surely peek through the dark clouds and shine ever so brightly.

I know. I’ve seen it lots of times before. It will happen.

And when it does, I will indeed be happy – and very grateful.

PPP #13: Boo-tiful!

Who said halloween is only about…

witches…

ghouls…

…or creepy crawlies like these?

At least not for this wacky bunch of Halloween hooligans!

Especially since it was the first time in 5 years that our “resident gremlins” were again able to go trick-or-treating with their cousins, they decided to brave the “eerie” streets of the village to see what was in store for them that fateful day…

Notice the spooks trying to “distract” them from their goal? There are actually 6 of them in this photo. ;)

Fortunately for them, they were apparently made of sterner stuff than they had ever imagined.  For at the end of the day, heat, humidity and “horrors” notwithstanding, they not only were able to stash lots of goodies to share…

More importantly, they all had “major, major bonding time” …

…plus loads of F-U-N and super memories to last them through a lot of happy halloweens to come!

Boo-tiful indeed!

PPP #12: Hoods Who?

Consider this a teaser to my “proper” halloween post later.

Anyway, just wanted to share with you how “bothered” I was when I came across this, er, “poser” while surfing the net this morning…

Imagine, the nerve! Talk about being a second-rate, trying hard copycat!

Good thing “the original” hoodie cutie didn’t mind one bit if she was being copied.

After all, they did say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, right? ;)

Hope you guys enjoyed “Boo Season” as much as we all did. More soon.
